Delta Vision Foundation Comments on Final Delta/Water Legislation
Sacramento - Today, the Delta Vision Foundation (formerly the Governor’s Blue Ribbon Task Force) released an extensive analysis of the final Delta/Water bill package that the legislature failed to approve on September 11. The Foundation compared the legislation to major goals and recommendations in the Delta Vision Strategic Plan. They concluded that although progress was made, the package was not yet in substantial agreement with the major goals or recommendations of Delta Vision.

Delta Vision Foundation Releases Letter to Senate President pro tem Steinberg
Sacramento – Today, the Delta Vision Foundation (formerly the Governor’s Delta Vision Blue Ribbon Task Force) noted the California Legislature is taking action on hotly debated water policy aimed at fixing the myriad problems in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Unfortunately, changes in bills today failed to address the need for financing of the Delta Council and removed ability of the Council to ensure state and local agencies act consistently with the Delta Plan.

Sacramento – Today, an in-depth analysis by the Delta Vision Foundation (formerly the Governor's Delta Vision Blue Ribbon Task Force) took center stage at a critical committee meeting on Delta/Water legislation at the State Capitol. The Foundation reviewed and commented on five pieces of Delta/Water legislation that address the ongoing crisis in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Today's testimony took place at the joint session of the Assembly Water, Parks & Wildlife Committee and the Senate Natural Resources and Water Committee.

Delta Vision Foundation To Grade State Progress On Delta and Water Policy
Sacramento event will focus on policy and proposals linked to Delta Vision Strategic PlanMonday, June 1, from 10 am to 3pm
The Delta Vision Foundation (formerly the Governor's Delta Vision Blue Ribbon Task Force) will hold a public meeting in downtown Sacramento to release a mid-term Report Card on the state's performance in shaping policy to restore the Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta and ensure a reliable water supply for California. The Report Card assesses the progress of the Governor, the California Legislature, and specific policy proposals to adopt and implement key recommendations and strategies identified in the Delta Vision Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan, released October 2008, is designed to ensure long-term sustainable management of the Delta.

Independent Delta Vision Task Force Reorganizes to Advance Sustainable Delta Plan
Delta Vision Foundation convenes as California faces drought and ecosystem crises
Sacramento - – Today, members of the concluded Governor’s Delta Vision Blue Ribbon Task Force announced they have reorganized under a new name and with non-governmental support. The newly formed Delta Vision Foundation has assembled to advance the set of recommendations and strategies proposed in their Delta Vision Strategic Plan, released in October 2008. Governor Schwarzenegger appointed the Task Force in 2006, to create an independent blueprint for a sustainable Delta, and a reliable water supply for California.
